Areas of practice

Tim Goodwin is a visiting member of Murray Chambers and is a member of the Victorian Bar.


Tim practices primarily in commercial and public law, particularly administrative law, regulatory work, constitutional law, human rights and anti-discrimination, commissions and inquiries, and native title and Aboriginal land rights. In 2016 and 2017, Tim was Junior Counsel assisting the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory.

He holds a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the Australian National University. Tim is a member of the Yuin people of the South East Coast of New South Wales.
